5 Stunning Locations for your Paris Elopement in 2023

Romantic, intimate and timeless

Congratulations! You’ve decided to elope in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Now the hardest part will be finding the perfect spot for your ceremony and photos. Personally, I love elopement that take place outdoors, surrounded by all the splendor of the city’s architecture.

This little guide is meant to give you some ideas of which landmarks you should choose for your celebration. I’m not including any hotels or other venues – that’s for another post!

1.
The Louvre

This timeless location is a favourite for elopements in Paris. If you come early enough in the morning, you’ll have the place all to yourself, no matter the season (be warned though – sunrise starts at 5am in the summer here so set your alarm clock extra loud).

2.
Luxembourg Gardens

The Luxembourg Gardens provide a beautiful backdrop for your Paris elopement, from the grandiose central fountain, to the Luxembourg Palace and to the rows of manicured trees. The Medici Fountain is nestled in the north side of the park, offering an intimate space to hold your celebration.

3.
Eiffel Tower

The symbol of the city (or at least it’s most recognizable and visible landmark) can be seen from several locations in Paris, so you have quite a few options for your elopement. The Trocadero gardens are one of the most popular spots (although also one of the most crowded). The Champs de Mars, the Bir Hakeim Bridge and the road along the Seine river all have view of the Eiffel Tower too, with varying degrees of privacy.

4.
Alexandre III Bridge

While a bridge might not be the first place that comes to mind for an elopement ceremony in Paris, it’s definitely worth considering. This opulent structure offers magnificent views of the city at the top and a secluded area near the Seine for your elopement ceremony.

5.
Montmartre

If you’re looking for a cozier place with a more local feel, the winding streets of Montmartre are for you. While Place du Tertre and Sacré Coeur are often crowded in the mornings, there are a myriad of other spots in the area that offer privacy.
